Meet our Governors

Ray Fleming - Chair of Governors

10

My name is Ray Fleming I am a Parent Governor and the proud Chair of Governors at Dallam Community Primary School. After attending Bewsey High School I had a career for 20 years as a time served Joiner/Cabinet Maker.

At 35 year of age I gained a housing qualification at John Moores University & I have since worked for Your Housing Group Housing Association for over 15 years, specialising in Vulnerable and Older Persons Accommodation around the Warrington area.

I am the proud Dad to 3 Sons aged 28, 17 and 11 years old. I enjoyed rugby as a player for 25 years and now enjoy watching most sports coaching junior football including Warrington Schoolboys.

I feel very proud to be connected to Dallam and I hope I can be part of the ethos of “working together to be the best we can”. I believe that Dallam Community Primary is more than just a school to the children and their families playing a vital part of our community.

Amanda Downey

My name is Amanda Downey. I am the Deputy Headteacher and Oak Class teacher at Dallam Primary School and have been a governor for about a year. I have two children and when I’m not in school, I enjoy being active and spending time with my family. I am incredibly proud to have taught in this school since 1996.  I love working with the children and families in Dallam, alongside the dedicated staff who have the children’s best interests at the centre of everything they do.  I particularly enjoy teaching maths which I lead through the school.

Geoff Boulter

Hello, my name is Geoff Boulter and I am a co-opted governor at Dallam Primary School. Many of you will already know me as I am a MDA at the school and I may support your child as a TA.

As a parent myself I understand the importance of a good school and being a part of this is what drives me as a governor.

Mary Cummings

DallamPM 007

I am Mary Cummings,
Vice-Chair of Governors at Dallam Primary School.

I have spent all my adult life in education, working in 4 different local authorities and holding 4 very different Headships here in Warrington.

After 35 years it was time for a change, and this has enabled me to volunteer at Dallam as a helper in Reception (Ash Class) and as a Governor.

I love coming in to school, to work with our fabulous children. Every day is different and every day is rewarding. I have been inspired and encouraged by the children’s enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, willingness to help others, fantastic singing, smiling faces and sense of fun!

I hope to continue to help in providing the children of Dallam with the very best educational experience in order to achieve their potential and fully enjoy their primary school years

Ashlea O'Rourke

Ashlea

Hello, my name is Ashlea O’Rourke and I am a co-opted governor at Dallam Primary School.  I have worked in HR for over 10 years now and I am looking forward to applying my skills and experience to my role as a governor.

Since becoming a parent in 2017 I have become more aware of the brilliant work that schools do for children and the importance of this to allow children to develop to their full potential.

I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in this with Dallam and I look forward to getting to know the staff, pupils and parents and how we can move forward as a school.
