Meet our Governors

Ashlea O'Rourke - Chair of Governing Board

I am Ashlea O’Rourke and I am the Chair of Governors at Dallam Primary School. I have been a governor since 2018 and recently became Chair. I am excited about the prospect of being Chair at Dallam and supporting the school to progress further.

I have worked in various roles in HR for over 10 years now and I am looking forward to applying my skills and experience to my role as a governor. I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved with Dallam and I look forward to further getting to know the staff, pupils and parents and how we can work together to move forward and develop as a school.

Jennifer Pirks - Parent Governor

DallamPM 011

Hello, I’m Jenny. I’m a parent Governor at Dallam Primary School, because I have a child in the Special Provision. I wanted to get involved with the Governing of Dallam, because I feel this school and this community has so much to offer. The staff are all very dedicated to their work with our children and work so hard towards excellent outcomes for the pupils and their families. I have worked in the Neighbourhoods team of Warrington Borough Council for 14 years, in various roles and have a lot of local knowledge of the area and its residents. I have 2 children, one of whom is autistic, so I have experience of the struggles many families face. I really look forward to working with the school to achieve great things.

 Donna Kendal

Donna Kendal Governor

Hello, I'm Donna Kendal and I am a co-opted Governor at Dallam Primary School

I have worked in public service since leaving university; firstly as a scientist & senior manager in the NHS for over 30 years and latterly in Education.

I work at Dallam school and that gives me opportunities to spend time with the children. They love to show their books and share their learning at any time!

As a governor, I hope I can bring my expertise to the leadership team so we can continue to provide our children with a broad and balanced curriculum that helps them to raise their aspirations and work hard to follow their dreams.

Geoff Boulter - Staff Governor

Geoff Boulter

My name is Raymond Fleming and I am a Co-opted School Governor and I am very proud to be part of the governing body at Dallam Community Primary School. I have been a School Governor and the Chair of Governors for over 10 years, and my aim is to fully support the school, the children and the community of Dallam.

After attending Evelyn Street primary, and then Bewsey High School I had a career for 20 years as a time served Joiner/Cabinet Maker.

At 35 years of age I gained a housing qualification at John Moores University and I have since worked in social housing, and currently for Anchor Hanover Housing Association, specialising in Vulnerable and Older Persons Accommodation around the Warrington and Halton area.

I am the proud father to 3 Sons aged 35, 23 and 17 years old, and my youngest son attended Dallam Primary School specialist designated provision. I enjoy most sports and I continue to play rugby, organising family touch and tag rugby sessions at my local rugby club, based at Eagle sports in Great Sankey. In 2018 I was fortunate to be the captain of the Great Britain Master Rugby League team during a tour of Australia.

Over the years I have continued to coach junior football in the area, including Warrington Schoolboys.

I feel very proud to be connected to Dallam and I hope that I can be part of the ethos of “working together to be the best that we can.”

Furthermore, I believe that Dallam Community Primary is more than just a school to the children and their families, it plays a vital role shaping the local community.

Hello, my name is Geoff Boulter and I am the staff governor at Dallam Primary School. Many of you will already know me as I am a MDA at the school and I may support your child as a TA in the classroom.

As a parent myself I understand the importance of a good school and being a part of this is what drives me as a governor.

Liam Gough - Parent Goveror

I am keen to support and contribute to the school’s strategic future. With a background in Finance, Health & Wellbeing and Equality & Diversity.

I am excited to join the governing body and I am looking forward to working together to help the school shine as brightly as it can for the benefit of every pupil attending Dallam Primary.

Mary Cummings

DallamPM 007

I am Mary Cummings, a co-opted Governor at Dallam Primary School.

I have spent all my adult life in education, working in 4 different local authorities and holding 4 very different Headships here in Warrington.

After 35 years it was time for a change, and this has enabled me to volunteer at Dallam as a helper and as a Governor.

I love coming in to school, to work with our fabulous children. Every day is different and every day is rewarding. I have been inspired and encouraged by the children’s enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, willingness to help others, fantastic singing, smiling faces and sense of fun!

I hope to continue to help in providing the children of Dallam with the very best educational experience in order to achieve their potential and fully enjoy their primary school years.
