Stay Safe Day
To further raise awareness with children about how to keep themselves and others safe, we launched the Dallam Stay Safe Market place in summer term. Each activity was led by a member of the DALLAM STAY SAFE TEAM and children discussed; Time to Talk, the NSPCC PANTS program, keeping themselves safe in and outside of school, safe internet use and road and bike safety.
The bike track on the school field was opened and children brought bikes, scooters and blades to travel on it! This gave us a good opportunity to talk to the children about ensuring their bikes are fit to ride and about the importance of wearing a helmet. Thank you to the Ability Bike team who brought a number of bikes to the event for children to try.
This is followed up with a 2 week STAY SAFE project in every class before the children break up for summer.
